With the twins and hubby off for a guided homeschoolers hike this morning, I was flying solo in the kitchen and it felt strange! I so enjoy the twins helping me knead, the conversation & also their creative ideas on our Friday challah bakes.
I noticed how much more my mind wandered off without the twins to keep me present, and I kept reminding myself to just come back to the dough - like I do when I meditate using either my breath or mantra as an anchor.

Homeschooling, guitar class, some park play, eating out for lunch, a quick stop to buy popsicles & incense, and making some wishes with dandelions - just another homeschool day.❤️❤️

It was actually a beautiful reminder that our yoga practice doesn’t need to wait for the perfect moment or place - we’re not doing yoga, we are living it - it’s experiential.
It’s this awareness we bring in all the moments - even the most mundane.
One of the things the twins and I do before we eat is put our hands over our food, and really think about all the steps that were taken to get that food on our plate.
We thank G-d, the farmers, sun, bees, whoever cooked our meal, etc - bringing consciousness to the act of eating. Try that before devouring a bag of chips!😂

Decluttered my head space by taking time to unsubscribe to almost all email lists over the weekend.
It was a tedious job & it was hard to keep my a$$ parked in my chair to do it!😂
Anyhoo, it had to get done. Opening my email had become overwhelming & was adding stress to my day to day life. I felt like I was constantly digging through emails - concerned I was missing something important (which I often was).
Can you relate?

When I opened my email today I thought something was wrong because I barely had a few emails - it took me a minute.

Happy Earth Day!🌎

One of the most important aspects of a yogic lifestyle is living in harmony with nature.
We are passionate about eating seasonal produce and try to grow what we can. Thankful for the privilege of having local farms and a fantastic farm box service too!💚

I love to let the twins (almost 10) lead in the kitchen & in the garden, today was no exception.
To celebrate Earth Day we refreshed some of the pots on our balcony garden.
We planted strawberries, basil, tomatoes, dill, and sage.🪴
It was so much fun & we enjoyed getting dirty and making a mess. 👩🏻‍🌾

Kai (almost 10) wanted to make these challah breadsticks today, so I told her to go for it.

Our Fridays are spent mostly in the kitchen cleaning the veggies from our farm box and baking our Shabbat challah.
